‧ Design Basics: Amazon is Triple-Balanced. This means there are three identical pairs of insulated conductors, in addition to four separate conductors over the 100% coverage foil shield. When used with XLR connectors and balanced electronics, the two positive signals (inverting and non-inverting) and the negative, all get the same low distortion conducting path. The shield is attached to chassis ground through the case of the XLR, providing extremely effective shielding without contaminating the quality of the negative conducting path. When Amazon is fitted with RCA plugs, two conductor pairs are used together for the much higher potential across the negative connection, providing a substantial performance advantage. The shield is only attached at one end, providing total shield coverage without compromising the negative conducting path.

‧ Metal: Amazon's PSS (Perfect Surface Silver) has an astonishingly smooth and pure surface. Proprietary metal processing technology protects the wire's surface at every stage of drawing and fabrication. When high-purity low-oxide copper is kept as soft, pure and smooth as possible, it becomes the wonderfully low distortion PSC conductor used in many AudioQuest models.

绝缘:因为任何固体物质临接于导体,会形成一个不完美电路之实体一部份。因此三个铁氟龙导管与三个聚乙烯导管,取代了传统式的绝缘材料。电线的绝缘材料、电路板材料均会吸收或耗损能量,这其中有些能量会被储存,然后以失真型态被释放。聚乙烯是一种具有良性失真外观的低损耗电介质(电路中的绝缘体),铁氟龙是一种会让人有轻微感觉不悦的失真外观,却为极低损耗的电介质。空气几无吸收任何能量,因此空气不算是电介质,本质上不会产生失真作用。既然铁氟龙以及聚乙烯之导管内径比金属导体的外径大出许多,因此金属导体仅接触到单一的导管,导体几乎受到空气完美隔离。无论如何,导管内的材料依然太过接近,以至于多少影响到音质表现。PE的特色是一种能够平抚和缓的减量失真,而铁氟龙的特色则是一种会有轻微粗糙声音的加量失真。就是因为铁氟龙比聚乙烯更易于传递更多细微与周遭的讯息,故其价格所费不赀。包裹于三条聚乙烯管内较大的PSC+导体,以及包裹于三条铁氟龙管内较小的PSC+导体,其精致细腻之组合,提供了铁氟龙所具有声音清澈生动的优点,同时基本上也维持了聚乙烯之本质与安定。空前的绝缘技术,造就前所未有的表现。
