这款全新的CHT-10Q超低音音箱其实就是之前推出的CHT-10R的升级版。CHT- 10Q与前一代相比，最大的特色就是内置了自动EQ功能，同时保留了前一代产品的所有技术，令这只超低音音箱更加易用。用家只要利用厂家所附带的测试麦克风就能简单地完成测试以及自动参数设置。因此， CHT-10Q可以称得上是一款“傻瓜式”的超低音音箱。除了自动EQ功能之外，CHT- 10Q的内部同样采用了DSP技术。其中， DLS(Distortion Limiting System，失真限制系统)技术无疑是Velodyne最厉害的武器之一。它是通过DSP控制芯片来对低音单元以
及放大器的工作进行实时监测，若检测到异常状况，就会自动作出实时的修正，从而减少低音的失真。与此同时，厂方还在DSP芯片内编写了“Movies”、“R&B Rock”、“Jazz Classical”、“Cames”4种EQ模式以及“Light(日间)”以及“Night(夜间)”2种聆听模式供用家们选择，而这6种模式需要通过遥控器才能进行选择。
除了在内部的功能上面得到扩展外，CHT-10Q还在外型设计以及操作按键方面作了很大改动。首先，CHT-10Q全黑色的箱体设计看上去令人感到更加朴实和耐用。在背板上，CHT-10Q由于采用了效率更高的D类放大器，让发热量大大降低，所以能免除散热器，同时将输出功率提高到195W(RMS)，可对低音单元提供更强大的控制力。而且加入了IR Input(线控接口)，能够与AV放大器实现联动控制，让用户的操作更方便。
